<sub>> BASIC INFO - Nathaniel is male. He has no idea how old he is. He will not respond to "Nathan."


> SPECIES - Minor imp. He is basically a little miniature demon that can't do particularly much due to his size and subsequent amount of physical and magical strength. He's more of a little spirit of mischief. xD


> APPEARANCE - Nathaniel's head is basically round with a bit of a point at the front, where his "nose" would be ( if he had one, that is! ). His horns have a gnarled appearance from the side and are "pulled back" slightly as opposed to standing straight off the top of his head. He has pupil-less, almond-shaped eyes that glow brightly in the dark. His mouth is rather wide and stretches across most of his face. Two small, pointed fangs are visible even with his mouth closed.

His spine has an unnatural arch to it so that he usually appears slightly curled up. As such, his true height / length is debatable. His torso is noticeably thicker than his waist, and he has visible ribs. Nathaniel's arms are thin and each hand has three pointed fingers. His feet are long and thin as well, with three pointed toes on each.

His tail is about the same length as his body ( 1.5 ft ), making his total length approximately 3 ft. His tail is very thin and ends in an arrow-shaped tip.

Nathaniel is not always seen with wings; they burst out of his back as necessary and retract in a similar manner. His wings are relatively small for his body size ( though I never end up drawing them consistently anyway ), and are more for looks than actual use. His kind "levitate" rather than truly fly; however, he cannot do so without his wings present. When "flying", his tail usually hangs downward.

The chain connects the bands of metal around his neck and tail, and passes over his spine.


> PERSONALITY - Nathaniel, being an imp, is mischievous by nature and cannot always resist the temptation to pull small pranks on those around him. He never means to cause harm, though. He differs from the majority of his kind by siding with "good" over "evil", despite imps naturally being drawn to darkness. Though he believes that immortals are still superior to other creatures, he does not advocate conquering other worlds and the destruction that it brings.

Due to his natural alignment of "evil", he is easily influenced by dark energies, which can render him uncharacteristically malicious. Otherwise, he is rather light-hearted, loves to make jokes, and enjoys spending time in the company of others. He is talkative and oftentimes persuasive, as well as very competitive, relishing the triumph of getting his way. Failure, on the other hand, tends to make him angry. He has a bit of an ego and won't take kindly to insults.


> POWERS - As a minor imp, Nathaniel has very few magical abilities to boast of; most of what he can do is subtle in nature, compared to larger, more destructive demonic entities. He is highly influential over the decisions of others, by talking to them and sometimes convincing them of whatever he wants. He has very little physical strength in comparison to most immortals due to his small physique, but can exercise slight control over magic brought forth by another being. He is able to contribute his strength to boost another's magic, but cannot do much on his own.

He has no difficulty seeing in the dark, and is able to revert to nothing more than a shadow, and can pass through tiny cracks ( he cannot pass through physical barriers, nor can he move them ). Though he does not necessarily need real shadows to travel in this form, it is much less obvious when he can hide in them. In the past, he has been used as an advance scout or spy due to this ability.

Nathaniel can levitate without actually flapping his wings, but he cannot do so without having his wings present.

Because he is not a true creature, being an imp, he cannot be harmed by ordinary weapons, unless they are enchanted to do so.


> WEAKNESSES - Nathaniel is small and cannot match the physical nor magical strength of most immortals. He is vulnerable to attack from any magical being, even the most weak. He relies mostly on levitation or shadows to avoid attack. His chain, however, is ordinary metal and can be grabbed to subdue him.</sub>

That was.. a lot of info, I am so sorry. |D; There's a ton of text because Nathaniel was originally created for a specific roleplay I participated in.. four years ago? Man, even he's old. I never got around to uploading his old ref it seems, so here's a new spiffy one instead. xD

But yeah.. I decided to go with a simple ref because he's not a very prominent character I guess, I haven't used him since then but I really enjoy drawing him. ouo
Like most of my other characters from back then, he hasn't changed a bit.
